Is working with the lighter instead a torch safer? I’m afraid to get a torch because I’m afraid it will explode or something in my apartment. I’m afraid of fires.

Beautiful! I have a tip for you to help the handle stay in the pasta machine - cut the tip off a finger from the surgical type gloves many of us use with PC and resin. Make it long enough to cover the part of the handle that goes inside the pasta machine hole and a bit more, then put it on there and put back into pasta machine. It. Won't fall out nearly as easily. I can't remember which PC Artist I got this tip from.
